Sound
The St Mary’s Church Whitkirk Community Centre has an in-house audio system. This is also connected to the Community Centre’s inductive hearing loop, which can be used by setting hearing aids to the “T” position.
To switch on the audio system in the Community Centre, press the power button in the stage-left stairwell. The button will light up blue.
You can use this same button to switch the system off, or it will switch itself off automatically after a few hours.
Lights
On the control touch screen's home page, tap the "Lights" button to access our lighting controls.
Switching the lights on
Before our lights can be used they will need to be switched on. You can do this by tapping the "Switch power on" button on the touch screen. It will take a moment for the lights to finish switching on, after which you can choose your lights using the touch screen.
On stage
The stage can be lit from the front, either at full power or half power. This is an even, cool white light.
The Main Hall
The ceiling of the main hall above the dance floor can either be lit in plain white, or in randomly changing colours.
When you're done
If you're finished using the lights, you can tap one of the "Off" buttons to turn the lights off for that part of the building. "All off" will turn everything off at once.
To switch power to the lights off, tap "Switch power off"
